SMS messaging & opt-in

How tenants consent to receive text messages from RentingAuthority (operated by ESTORE TOYS LLC).

How consent is collected

RentingAuthority uses a two-step, double opt-in. A tenant is never messaged until both steps are complete:

  1. Landlord attestation. When a landlord adds a tenant in the dashboard, they must check a box confirming the tenant has agreed to receive SMS maintenance messages. The tenant cannot be added without it.
  2. Tenant SMS confirmation. The tenant receives a one-time invitation text and must reply CONFIRM <code> to activate. If they reply NO or do not reply, no further messages are ever sent.

Message types & frequency

  • All messages are transactional only — no marketing.
  • Enrollment confirmation, maintenance request acknowledgements, vendor-assignment notifications, and status updates.
  • Typical frequency: 1–3 messages per maintenance request.

  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; HELP for assistance.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
